DBCC Transport Monirail

The Problem

DBCC-Transport reached out to us with a specific need: to design, manufacture, and install custom supports for the integration of Monirail railway monitoring sensors.

These sensors are intended to monitor the condition of railway tracks and enhance the safety of the rail system. The main challenge was that these sensors did not have standard supports adaptable to locomotives, posing a challenge in terms of precise installation, strength, vibration resistance, and efficiency at each critical monitoring point.

The Challenge

The project's challenge was to design supports that met the strict technical requirements necessary for railway conditions. The supports needed to be installed at specific locations (including axles, bogies, and chassis) to ensure accurate monitoring and provide the structural rigidity necessary to withstand G-forces at these installation points.

Additionally, it was essential to meet vibration resistance requirements and consider the natural frequencies of each support, so as not to interfere with the precision of the Monirail sensors.

The Solution

Once the designs were approved by DBCC-Transport and Monirail, we proceeded with the manufacturing of the supports in steel, using laser-cutting technology to ensure millimeter-level precision. This precision cutting process allowed for highly accurate supports that perfectly matched the structural and operational needs of the system.

After successful installation, the Monirail sensors were set to operate effectively, providing DBCC-Transport with a reliable and efficient monitoring system for their railway operations.
